After getting information from a reliable source, the patrolling team attacked the hunter's camp present in the Sudrukumpa forest range.
In the camp, seven hunters were present, after watching the patrolling team six members of them successfully absconded from the place.
But, one of them named Ramesh Murmu was caught red-handed.
The team has seized head of a Sambar, 4 kg of Sambar meat and a dead monkey.
Several kinds of weapons were also seized including 4 Tangias (A Sharp weapon, which is usually bigger than a knife), 3 knives, and 4 nets.
It is discovered that Ramesh Murmu is of Sambalpur.
Six hunters, who absconded from the spot successfully are identified as Goutam Murmu, Ashok Murmu, Samsung Murmu, Ranjit Murmu, Suleman Murmu, and Jones Kerketa.
For further investigation, the forest department has forwarded Ramesh to the SDJM court.
