Puri, Apr 4: Brahmagiri MLA Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra's mother Subhalaxmi Devi passed away while undergoing treatment at the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar this morning. She was 93.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the hospital and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. He too prayed for the departed soul.
Besides, Mohan Majhi, the Opposition Chief Whip In the Odisha State Assembly, and many other BJP leaders went to the hospital and paid last respects to her. Family members were present at the deathbed.
Upasana Mohapatra, who has been nominated to fight elections to the Brahmagiri Assembly seat, is the granddaughter of Subhalaxmi Devi. She is the daughter of former MLA Lalatendu Vidyadhar Mohapatra.
