According to the information, miscreants committed a daylight robbery in the PK Jewellery at Basudevpur a few days back. They snatched away 12 gold chains from the owner.
Based on an FIR filed by the jeweller, Basudevpur police started an investigation and searched for the miscreant. Finally, they nabbed the miscreant from the Nuapada area. Another person involved in the crime is still at large.
The arrested person has been identified as Jafri of Muslim Bagh in the Nupada area.
Police siezed five gold chains from him. The cost of the seized gold ornaments is estimated to be Rs 4 lakh.
