In a social media post, Pradhan thanked the police personnel for their untiring efforts in protecting life and liberty as well as enforcing law and order across the country.
The Union Minister also salute the “Bravehearts” who have sacrificed their life in the line of duty.
The Police Commemoration Day is also called Martyr's Day.
On October 21, Police Commemoration Day is observed across the country and homage is paid to police personnel who lost their lives for the country.
The main function to mark the occasion is organised at the National Police Memorial which is customarily presided over by the Union Home Minister.
