Vaishnaw said budgetary allocations have been made for providing network facilities in as many as 7,500 villages in Odisha. “Development in railway sector can be ensured easily if we make efforts together. Our one plus one effort should be eleven (1+1=11).Construction work will expedite as soon as land and environment permissions are available,” said Vaishnaw.
He said the Khurda-Bolangir railway project will certainly be completed. He exuded confidence that the Bande Metro Train will benefit Odisha in coming days.
Claiming that a very good response has been received from the boarders of the Bharat Gourav Train that left Delhi for Shree Jagannath Temple recently, the Railways Minister said more such trains will be introduced in coming days. He said the demand for the Bande Bharat Train is mounting day by day.
In response to a question on Metro Train in Odisha, the Minister said “We have not received any such proposal till now.” He said infrastructural work for Metro Trains is now going on in 18 cities across the country.
To a question on slashing of funds in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), Vaishnaw said funds have not been cut rather it will increase as per demands.
While responding to question as to why Odisha Government is not executing the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, he stated that the Odisha Government should reply to it. However, he asserted that people across the country are getting benefits out of the Central scheme.
