As soon as the House met at 4 pm, the Opposition ruckus continued, following which the Speaker adjourned the House for 30 minutes and convened the all party meeting to break the deadlock that has been continuing for the last five days and to reach a consensus for smooth conduct of proceedings.
The State Assembly has been witnessing pandemonium with BJP and Congress MLAs continuing with their demand for the removal of Mos Home, Dibya Shankar Mishra over Mamita Meher murder case.
Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) continued witnessing disruption and was adjourned till 4 pm as Opposition BJP members kept protesting the entry of Minister of Home for State Dibya Shankar Mishra to the House and his arrest for the fourth day on Monday.
As the House met for the day, Opposition members rushed to the Well of the House and shouted slogans against the Minister and the State Government. They demanded immediate ouster and arrest of the Minister for his alleged role in Kalahandi school teacher Mamita Meher murder.
BJP members staged a flag march inside the house in protest against entry of the Minister. On the other side, Treasury Bench members protested against the Union Government not tagging ‘Paika Revolt’ as the first freedom struggle of the country. Attired in Jai Rajguru dress, the BJD members stood at their chairs and shouted slogans against the Centre.
