“It is not believable that an ASI of Police will kill a Minister of high stature. I smell a conspiracy. Some other people might have been behind the scene. The real culprit should be brought to the fore,” said Patnaik.

He said investigation should be handed over to the CBI if the Crime Branch of Odisha police fail to unravel the truth and bring the real culprit to the fore.
Patnaik stated this at a Press meet he addressed for the first time after joining Congress recently.
