Acting on a petition, the Supreme Court had on January 12 served show-cause notice on 191 lawyers asking them to clarify why a contempt of court proceeding will not be initiated against them.
The apex court had asked the lawyers to give clarification either through affidavit or by deposing before the court in person on February 6.

Accordingly, a two-member bench comprising Justice Sanjay Kissan Kaul and Justice Abhay S Okka will conduct the hearing tody.
Sources said while all Bar Associations of the western Odisha have together filed one application to dispose of the case, some lawyers have submitted affidavit with an unconditional apology.
