BJD national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha Member Amar Patnaik on Sunday questioned the pass system for the T20 match, to be played between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today, in view of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik buying a ticket to watch the match.

Bhubaneswar, Jun 12: BJD national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha Member Amar Patnaik on Sunday questioned the pass system for the T20 match, to be played between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today, in view of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik buying a ticket to watch the match.

“So many people approached me for "passes" which I couldn't provide for the T20 cricket match at Cuttack.

In India, the "PASS" system should be abolished as it is patronage based and discretionary. When CM Naveen Patnaik purchased a ticket, why "passes"?” wanted to know Patnaik in a tweet.
