According to information, members of Adibashi Sangha, which Bishi headed before joining the ruling BJD, attired in tribal dress and holding traditional weapons danced while accompanying the MP in a procession started at Rampur locality in the Patnagarh town. The MP went to the temple of Pataneshwari, the presiding deity of Patnagarh, to offer prayers. From there, he went to Samaleswari temple and took blessings of the Goddess.
Later he was felicitated at a special programme held at Subhadra Bhavan on behalf of the District Adivasi Sangha, Bolangir. Astaratna Bariha presided over the meeting. On the occasion, the MP assured that he would make voice of tribals and backward class people reach New Delhi. He too promised to make all efforts to make pro-people programmes reach deserving people at the earliest.
