A Padma Vibhushan awardee, Mohapatra was hospitalised for more than two weeks after he was infected with the virus.
Mohapatra’s son, Prashant , is also in the ICU, while his other son Jasobant is in the general Covid ward at AIIMS here, sources said.
He was awarded with Padma Vibhusan in 2013. He had trained more than 2,000 students and restored many monuments.
Odisha Chief Minister, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and several leaders condoled the death of Mohapatra.
