On Thursday, Naveen addressed BJP workers and urged them to join the ‘Pada Yatra’, which would kick start from Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. “BJD is working for people of the State. Reach out to people with Government schemes. He asked the party workers that their duty to create awareness about the welfare schemes and hold meetings as well so that benefits of such initiatives ripped by more people,” Naveen said.
He said, “The country is celebrating its 75th Anniversary of Independence. Odisha has a special role in the freedom struggle and so the special focus should be given to highlight the State’s contribution in freedom struggle during the Pada Yatra.”
Senior leader and party vice-president Debi Mishra also addressed the workers. He said the BJD has undergone a financial crisis. However, it has overcome all hurdles under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik.
The State government has been implementing several schemes for the development of all sections of society.
This apart, senior leader Atun Sabyasachi Nayak highlighted various schemes of the State government and asked party workers to create awareness about the schemes.
On September 30, party MLAs, MPs, district presidents, ZP members, block Chairpersons, Vice-Chairpersons, Mayors, and Corporators of Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Berhampur will attend.
