The Union Minister along with BJP candidate and other senior party leaders held a mega roadshow in Pipili area and appealed people to vote for the lotus, BJP’s party symbol, in the ensuing Pipili by-poll.
Pradhan, standing on an open vehicle, waved at the people and sought their support for Pattanayak. He requested the voters to press the button for the lotus for “peace and progress” in the area.

BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra, Brahmagiri MLA Lalitendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra and other senior leaders of the saffron party also joined the roadshow, covering Uttara Chhaka to Jatani Chhaka and from Patnaika to Harirajpur in Pipili assembly constituency.
The polling for the Pipili by-election is scheduled to be held on April 17 and votes will be counted on May 2.
The by-poll was necessitated for the Pipli assembly segment due to the demise of BJD MLA Pradeep Maharathy in October 2020.
