Notably, Dhanteras is the first day of the five-day festival of Diwali. People consider buying jewelries to be extremely beneficial which in turn brings good fortune.
This year, Diwali is being celebrated on November 14 in Odisha during which the celebration will take place without bursting of firecrackers following a government ban on the same in view of Covid-19 situation.
