Bhawanipatna, Sept 13: Newly cooked rice, produced freshly, called "Nabanna Prasad" will be offered to Maa Manikeshwari, the presiding deity of Kalahandi, as part of Nuakhai festival today i.e. Monday.
According to the Lagna (Auspicious Time), the Nabanna will be offered to the goddess between 8.20 am and 9.40 am.
The Lagna, fixed as per almnac, says that people will eat Nabanna Prasad between 10 am and 12.40 pm today, after the Prasad is offered to Maa Manikeswari
It may be noted that Nabanna was offered to Maa Samaleswari on Sunday.
