According to the information, after getting the notification of two thousand rupees will not be legal tender from September, the Maoists wanted to exchange their notes.

Two Maoists, disguised in a common man's attire with a bag full of 2k notes arrived at the bank to deposit the money.
After receiving a tip-off about the incident, the District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawans under the leadership of Superintendent of Police (SP) reached the spot and arrested the Maoists.

After conducting a search on the duo, eleven bank passbooks and cash of rupees six lahks of 2K notes were seized from their possession.
A stringent probe is on to find other Maoists who are involved in such process, informed the SP.
