Yesterday, the State reported 24 new Covid-19 cases.
Out of 19 fresh cases in the State, 11 cases have been reported from quarantined people, eight are local contact cases.
Khordha district reported the maximum number of fresh cases at 9, followed by Sundargarh at 3, Cuttack at 2, Angul, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur each at 1. Besides, two fresh cases were reported from the State pool.
With this, the Covid-19 tally of the State has increased to 12,88,639. So far, a total of 12,79,307 people of the State have been recovered from Covid-19.
“The active cases of the State now stand at 153,” the Health Department said.
