According to a statement of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), CM Naveen has decided to hike the salary of the junior teachers, including the contractual ones, engaged in the primary schools in the State. The announcement would benefit 13,324 contractual teachers and 19,714 junior teachers.
The hike will be effective from January 1, 2022.
The contractual teachers, who are getting a salary of Rs 7,400 will draw a salary of Rs 11,000 and the junior teacher will get a salary of Rs 13,800, as per the announcement.
The State Government on January 1 announced the regularisation of the jobs of 8,102 junior teachers.
