The Cabinet met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved a proposal as per which another water treatment plant will be established in the State Capital for supply of water to households in coming years.
According to another proposal, transgender-children will be given family pension.
The Cabinet also approved a proposal to provide adequate compensation to family members of prisoners who will die in jail.
The State Government effected some changes in favour of food processing units which are as MSME units. The State Government slashed VAT on aircraft fuel by 1 per cent.
The Government approved a proposal to provide five acres of land to the proposed eye hospital Trilochan Netralaya at Sambalpur.

As many as 237 hostels will be established for Odisha Adarsh Vidyalayas at different places in the State, according to another proposal approved by the Cabinet.
Besides, another proposal approved by the Cabinet has allowed the State Government to provide land to the SVKM University at Jatni.
