According to information, the State BJP organised Adivasi dance to greet Murmu, who has all possibilities of wining the most prestigious post of the country. The airport area wore a colourful look with dance, beating of tribal drums and gathering of a huge crowd.
Murmu, whose candidature has been supported openly by the BJD, is very likely to file her nomination papers for the President election in Delhi tomorrow. She is likely to reside in the Odisha Bhawan till filing of nomination. A tight security arrangement has been put in place at the Odisha Bhawan for the purpose.
Sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda, among others, will remain present at the time of filing of nomination papers by her.
The Presidential elections are scheduled to be held on July 18.
While Murmu has all possibilities to win the highest democratic post, BJP workers and common citizens were seen standing at different places to greet her while she was on her way from her native Rairangpur town to Bhubaneswar this morning.
