New Delhi, Jan 23: The National Disaster Response Force Director General Atul Karwal on Sunday said that the NDRF Twitter handle was hacked.
"Yes. Will get it looked into right away," Karwal further said.
The site was hacked on Saturday, he said
The hacking incident occurred a few days after the multi-disciplinary force NDRF celebrated its 17th Raising Day on January 19.
As of now the Twitter handle @NDRF has not been restored and it is neither showing any of its tweets posted so far, nor working as other Twitter handles.
Raised in January 19, 2006, the specialised task force responds to the natural calamity or man made disaster management for 'special response to a threatening disaster situation or a disaster'.
Started with eight battalions in 2006, it has 16 active battalions, each consisting of 1149 personnel, the force has saved more than one lakh lives in its 3,100 operations. It has rescued and evacuated over 6.7 lakh people during disasters.
With a motto of 'Aapada Seva Sadaiv Sarvatra' (sustained disaster response service under all circumstances), NDRF is raised on the line of para- military forces and persons are sent to this force on deputation from the Central Armed Police Forces such as CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF, etc.
Each battalion in NDRF is also capable of providing 18 self-contained specialist search and rescue teams of 45 personnel each. including the technicians, engineers, dog squads, electricians, and medical/paramedics.

New Delhi, Dec 6: Over the past seven days, the Adani Group of Stocks has outperformed the Nifty 50. The group companies have experienced gains of between 16 per cent and 63 per cent said Vaibhav Vidwani, Research Analyst, Bonanza Portfolio.
He said that Adani Total Gas -- one stock that has more than doubled investor wealth -- has increased in value over the past seven days by more than 60 per cent.
He said that in addition, the stock has dropped the most year-to-date by as much as 70.5 per cent, and it is currently trading at a 73.65 per cent discount to its 52-week high.
He said that the Adani Power and Adani Ports, two Adani group enterprises, are near to 52-week highs during this period.

Nifty closed on a positive note, while most sectorial indices closed in the green. Nifty IT and Nifty Energy were among the outperforming sector up by 1.67 per cent and 1.55 per cent respectively.
Wipro, LTIMindtree, ITC, L&T and TC were among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers includes Adani Enterprises, Eicher Motors, Cipla, NTPC and UltraTech Cement.

He said that a strong rebound in IT, driven by reduced US recession risks and in anticipation of robust summer demand, fuels the momentum in the power sector.

New Delhi, Dec 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday visit Dehradun to take part in the inauguration ceremony of the 'Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023', an official release from the PMO said.
The event will be held at Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion.
'Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023' is a step towards establishing Uttarakhand as a new investment destination. The two-day summit is themed - "Peace to Prosperity".
The summit will be attended by thousands of investors and delegates from across the world. It will witness the participation of Union Ministers, Ambassadors of various countries along with leading industrialists, among others.
Earlier, on Friday, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, while addressing the Social Media Influencers Meet ahead of the Global Investors Summit, said that Uttarakhand is one of the safest states in the country in terms of law and order and is most suitable for investment.
"We went to many places in the country and abroad regarding the Investors Summit from where we got a very good response. So far investment proposals worth Rs 2 lakh crore have been signed," Dhami said, adding that the maximum focus of the state government is on employment generation.
The Uttarakhand CM, further during the Social Media Influencers Meet, called upon everyone to spread the word about this event in the country and the world through their means so that Destination Uttarakhand, Global Investors Summit becomes trending everywhere.
The Global Investors Summit is to be held in Dehradun on December 8-9. The 2-day long Investors Summit will be a platform for business delegations, corporate leaders, academia, Innovators and Government leadership from across the globe, to collectively explore business opportunities and partnerships in the state of Uttarakhand. Janhvi took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a picture with her sister Khushi. In the image, the ‘Roohi’ actress is seen hugging her sister, who is seen wearing her mother’s dress and jewelry for the premiere of the upcoming film.

‘The Archies’ is directed by Zoya Akhtar. It stars Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal and Yuvraj Menda. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on 7 December 2023.
