As per the report, the elder brother of the victim identified as Anil Kumar Jena (13) was taking rest on a ‘pindi’ located under a tree near his house last night when a village youth indulged in an argument with him over unknown issue.
As he protested the miscreant started passing lewd comments to his widow mother which fumed Anil. As the victim exchanged words with the miscreant he took out a sharp weapon and hacked him mercilessly.
He sustained grievous head injury in the attack and was rushed to Tangi medical for treatment.
Police have registered a case in connection with the case and launched investigation.
