Before resumption of the MDM programme under the PM Poshan scheme, schools have been asked to strictly follow the SOP.
Kitchen sheds need to be sanitized and there should be hand sanitization stations in every school. Utensils and storage containers should be properly washed and sanitized. Edibility of MDM ingredients must be checked. MDM stock must be disposed, if found losing edibility. Covid guidelines must be followed during procurement of raw materials.
Cleanliness and sanitation must be maintained in kitchen and surrounding areas. Students must be served hot cooked meals in a staggered manner i.e. class-wise so that social distancing can be maintained properly.
