The deceased has been identified as Kurbindar Singh, a hotel manager by profession and a resident of the district.
According to sources, Kurbindar was in depression for past several days due to family disturbance. However today, his body was recovered from his room along with an empty poison bottle.

Soon, the police was informed about the incident. On being informed, the police reached the spot seized the body and poison bottle from the scene. Thereafter, the police have sent the body for autopsy and initiated a probe into the matter.
A pall of gloom has descended in the area following the unfortunate demise of the man.
