Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan opined this on the occasion of 150 year celebration of the Joranda Matha Mela. Pradhan visited Joranda and offered prayers.
On his way to Dhenkanal, Pradhan was received warmly by party workers and supporters.
At Joranda, he paid obeisance to the Sunya Brahma by prostrating before the Dhuni Temple.
“I feel blessed by offering prayer at the holy fee of Mahima Gosain. We all should make attempts to make the messages of Mahima Gosain reach worldwide,” tweeted Pradhan.
Earlier in the day, the Union Minister had visited Mahima Magha Mela at Angarbandha in Angul district. Here, he offered ghee and held discussions with Mahima followers.
Notably, Pradhan has initiated efforts for including literary works of Santhakabi Bhima Bhoi in the UGC syllabus. As a result, life history, literary works and philosophy of the legendary poet will be taught to students at university level across the country.
By now, Bhima Bhoi chairs have been opened at Khaliapali University, Delhi University and Guru Ghasi Das University in Chhattisgarh.
By his efforts, Shaliman express train has been renamed after Mahima Gosai.
While taking oath as President of India six months back, Droupadi Murmu had joyfully recited the famous stanza of Bhima Bhoi, “Mo Jeeban Pachhe Narke Padithau Jagat Uddhar Heu.”
This poetic line has also been inscribed on the wall of the United Nations headquartered in New York in the United States of America.
