The match will start at 1.30 pm IST. The other two matches will be played in Ranchi, and Delhi on 9th and 11th October.
India has not picked a single player from their T20 World Cup squad for the series against Proteas.
The Men-in-Blue, led by Shikhar Dhawan, have several new faces such as Rahul Tripathi, Rajat Patidar, Mukesh Kumar, Shahbaz Ahmed -- in for the ODI series.
On the other hand, South Africa has retained almost the same squad as the last T20I series against India and the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. From the T20I squad, they have left out Tristan Stubbs and Rilee Rossouw to bring in Andile Phehlukwayo and Janneman Malan.
