Nadda castigated the State Government at the party workers’ meeting, named “Trideb”, held at the Janata Maidan here.
Alleging that ill governance and corruption have prevailed everywhere in Oidsha, Nadda urged party workers, naming them as Trideb (Brahma, Bishnu and Maheswar), to go to doorsteps of people and make people aware of failures of the State Government and, at the same time, inform them about various pro-people schemes being adopted by the Centre and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special love for Odisha.
Raising the Aayushamn Bharat issue, he expressed unhappiness saying over 60 lakh Odisha people have been deprived of getting health benefits being provided under the Aayushman Bharat Yojana due to autocratic attitude of the Odisha Government.
“Whopping 11 crore families, comprising 50 crore people, have been covered under the Aayushman Bharat Yojana. But 60 lakh poor people of Odisha have been deprived of free treatment benefits as the State Government has not implemented the scheme yet,” he said.
Stating that Telangana and other States have implemented Aayusman Bharat Yojana for benefit of their people, he wanted to know from the party workers whether the health programme should be implemented in Odisha or not.
He alleged that Odisha Government is making bills of MGNREGA schemes while the Narendra Modi Government has already provided Rs 15,490 crore under the scheme for providing jobs to the poor people.
Talking about the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, he said, “Odisha Government has been stamping PMAY as Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana which is very dissapointing.”
He said protectors have turned destroyers in the State. “I have heard three former Ministers have been facing murder charges in the State. Is it good governance,” he wanted to know.
Raising the issue of Ratna Bandar of Shreemandir, Nadda said the treasure house has remained unsafe now. “Sometimes keys are being lost and some other times duplicate keys are being found. When a duplicate Government is running the State, it is bound that duplicate keys will be found,” ridiculed Nadda.
Claiming that the Modi Government has provided adequate funds for purchase of Ambulances, Nadda criticized the Odisha Government for the dead bodies being carried on cycles and pregnant women giving birth to babies on roads in rural pockets.
Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special love for Odisha, Nadda said he has already given national insitutes like AIIMS, IISER and IIM to the State. "Odisha leaders have been made Central Ministers and Governors. And it is a matter of pride for each Odia that Droupadi Murmu has become the first citizen of India," he said.
He said 40.5 lakh people in Odisha are now getting aid of 6,000 per annum under the PM KISAN scheme.
He urged party workers to go to people and make them aware of these issues so that a double engine Government would come in 2024 and Odisha will see development.
