The nine red and white Hawk aircrafts dazzled the city sky at 10 am today over the Kuakhai river near Balijatra Ground in the city, and showed various aerobatic maneuvers and formations flying inverted, diving and climbing in an aerial ballet.
The show continued for about 30-45 minutes.
Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik along with 50,000 crowds witnessed the IAF’ Suryakiran air show in the State Capital.
Air Marshal DK Patnaik, Chief of Eastern Air Command, also attended the air shows.
Commissionerate Police made an elaborate arrangement for crowd management during the show. As many as 15 platoon police force were deployed while 100 other officers were pressed on duty in this regard.
The Suryakiran aerobatic team will also perform over Raj Bhawan in Puri on Sunday.
