The incident was reportedly occurred at the Board High School in Cuttack, an HSC board examination centre, where the ‘General Science’ question paper for ex-regular students of the year 2014 were given to 20 regular students.
The goof-up came to fore at around 11.30 am, around one-and-a-half hour after the exam started at 10 am. Later, the invigilators gave this year’s regular question papers to the examinees and allotted one hour extra time (till 1 pm) for the exam.
The School Headmaster, Dilip Kumar Behera, admitted to the blunder and said, “the matter was resolved”.
Notably, the State Government had cancelled this year’s Matric exams due to the Covid-19 situation and marks were allotted to students through an alternate assessment method.
However, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) later decided to conduct an offline exam for the students who were not satisfied with the allotted marks.
