As per reports, the blaze was reported from the private-run hostel building located in the Chandi Chhak area last night and then spread to other nearby buildings.
After getting information, Fire service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flame.
No causalities or injuries were reported in the incident. However, property worth lakhs of rupees were reportedly destroyed due to the fire mishap.
The cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained, officials said.
Meanwhile, the Opposition BJP and Congress on Wednesday slammed the State government over increasing incidents of forest fires across the State during the past few weeks.
