New Delhi, July 22: Neha Kakkar is fast emerging a one-woman industry of sorts, belting out hits with astonishing regularity and currently ruling the roost. She says it is never a bad time to be a singer in the industry.
Over the past years, she has delivered back-to-back hits that include film songs such as "Garmi", "Dilbar" and "O saki saki".
Asked if it is a good time to be a singer in the industry, Neha told IANS: "It's never a bad time to be a singer in the industry, that's for sure. How unique you are matters but most of all, it's important to be a good human being. All our friends in the music industry are really nice and we wish them success."
In a very short time, Neha has become the undisputed queen of remixes. Before making her debut in Bollywood, Neha and her siblings Tony and Sonu Kakkar sang at jagratas.
She looks back at her journey from singing at jagratas to being one of Bollywood's top singers, and calls it a "humbling" one.
"It's been hard work, and honest work. The journey has been humbling and it's so valuable for me to be able to measure how we have grown. My fans make my journey worth it, too!" she said.
With success comes criticism. Neha, who recently got married to singer Rohanpreet Singh, has often been trolled on social media and has also been a material to memes and jokes. She is not much bothered by negative comments coming her way.
How does she not get affected by the heavy trolling on social media? "Work hard, stay honest, stay humble, be open to growing and never lose faith," she replied.
What's next for Neha? The 33-year-old singer said: "There are a lot of things in the pipeline, you will get to know very soon with a big announcement."
Neha recently performed on the app MX Takatak, and she says: "To have such an extensive line-up across 52 weeks is unheard of in the digital space. I am super happy, excited and humbled that I am launching Takatak Manch."

New Delhi, Dec 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday visit Dehradun to take part in the inauguration ceremony of the 'Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023', an official release from the PMO said.
The event will be held at Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion.
'Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023' is a step towards establishing Uttarakhand as a new investment destination. The two-day summit is themed - "Peace to Prosperity".
The summit will be attended by thousands of investors and delegates from across the world. It will witness the participation of Union Ministers, Ambassadors of various countries along with leading industrialists, among others.
Earlier, on Friday, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, while addressing the Social Media Influencers Meet ahead of the Global Investors Summit, said that Uttarakhand is one of the safest states in the country in terms of law and order and is most suitable for investment.
"We went to many places in the country and abroad regarding the Investors Summit from where we got a very good response. So far investment proposals worth Rs 2 lakh crore have been signed," Dhami said, adding that the maximum focus of the state government is on employment generation.
The Uttarakhand CM, further during the Social Media Influencers Meet, called upon everyone to spread the word about this event in the country and the world through their means so that Destination Uttarakhand, Global Investors Summit becomes trending everywhere.
The Global Investors Summit is to be held in Dehradun on December 8-9. The 2-day long Investors Summit will be a platform for business delegations, corporate leaders, academia, Innovators and Government leadership from across the globe, to collectively explore business opportunities and partnerships in the state of Uttarakhand. Participation of 5,000+ delegates (both national and international) is expected at the summit.
According to the Uttarakhand Government it's 15plus investor-friendly sectoral policies, good governance initiatives, enabling regulatory environment and sustainable practices will be showcased at the Summit. Summit will also host Business-to-Business (B2B) and Government-to-Business (G2B) meetings to support and aid in better decision-making for its investors.

Mumbai, Dec 6: Actress Janhvi Kapoor has turned cheerleader for her sister Khushi, whom she called her sunshine, for her debut project ‘The Archies’.
Janhvi took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a picture with her sister Khushi. In the image, the ‘Roohi’ actress is seen hugging her sister, who is seen wearing her mother’s dress and jewelry for the premiere of the upcoming film.
Janhvi captioned the image: “The sunshine of my life and now sunshine in cinema. You are magical.”
‘The Archies’ is directed by Zoya Akhtar. It stars Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Aditi Saigal and Yuvraj Menda. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix on 7 December 2023.

Cuttack, Dec 6: Gold prices in India fell around Rs 500 per 10 grams for the second consecutive day on Wednesday at the Multi Commodity Exchange for December contracts.
In Odisha, the price of yellow metal 22K (10 grams) traded at Rs 59, 800 while the price of 20K (10 grams) stood at Rs 54,300.
Likewise, 18K gold (10 grams) stood at Rs 49,200. The price of 14K gold (10 grams) stood at Rs 39,800.
In Cuttack, the GST 995 yellow metal traded at Rs 6,260 per gram and the ready 995 gold prices stood at Rs 6,400 per gram.
The price of silver metal also sees a fall. The price of LRS silver stood at Rs 75,700 and the price of 9999 silver stood at Rs 77,000.
