Jammu, Sept 27: A soldier was injured in a landmine explosion in J&K’s Rajouri district on Wednesday, officials said.
Officials said that the soldier identified as Naik Dheeraj Kumar was injured when he stepped on a landmine accidentally while on patrol duty in forward area near the line of control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.
He was shifted to northern command hospital in Udhampur for treatment, an official said. (IANS)

A Youtuber named Ashwani Thapa hosted a momo party in the north Indian village of Buranskhanda in Uttarakhand's Dhanaulti.
The YouTuber arranged for momos, DJ and fun games to entertain the residents. He arranged 1,800 pieces of the dumplings. He personally invited every family in the hilly area for his grand momo challenge. He invited around 500 people for the party.
In the description of his YouTube video, he said, “Thank my brother for coming from Rishikesh without sleeping all night, just to help me out with the video. This video is part of my Mission One Million Project. My goal is to get 1 million subscribers before returning to my home. If you want to help me achieve my goal, be sure to send Ashwani home with a subscription!"
This dumplings party by the YouTuber was attended by people in good numbers making it a success. Many of his followers could be seen commenting in the video.

New Delhi, Sep 27: The government has compulsorily retired an IAS officer, currently serving in Arunachal Pradesh and accused of emptying a stadium here last year to walk her dogs, sources said.
A government source confirmed the development, saying that "yes the orders have been passed".
The sources said that 1994 batch IAS officer Rinku Dugga of the AGMUT cadre has been compulsorily retired following her track record.
Dugga along with her husband Sanjeev Khirwar, who is also a 1994-batch IAS officer were transferred out of Delhi last year following a news report that they emptied a stadium of athletes to walk their dog.
Khirwar is currently posted in Ladakh.
The source said that she has been retired compulsorily under the Fundamental Rules (FR) 56(j), Rule 48 of Central Civil Services (CCS) Pension Rules, 1972 after an assessment of her service record.
The source further said that the government has the right to retire any government servant "if it is of the opinion that it is in the public interest to do so". (IANS)
