According to the information, the wild elephant's leg got entangled in the high-tension election wire which was dangling at a much low height. The elephant was walking up when it came in contact with the electrical wire and died. Local residents spotted the body this morning. Later, they alerted forest department officials about the incident.
The carcass has been seized for post-mortem.
