As per reports, dense fog was observed at Bomikal, Rasulgarh and Palasuni area of Bhubaneswar from 4.30 am onwards, with visibility at around 20 to 50 metres.
The people of the State Capital found difficulties to reach their destinations as visibility in many places falling to around 20 metres.
Vehicular movement was affected in many places, particularly on NH-16 Bhubaneswar-Cuttack road, because of the dip in visibility this morning. Likewise, the morning walkers, street vendors, students, officials and several others were affected due to the reduced visibilities in the morning.
Meanwhile, the regional meteorological centre, Bhubaneswar predicted light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in several districts of the State till Sunday morning.
The weathermen issued yellow weather warning for several districts in the State for the next three days.
