According to information, the ultramodern automatic dairy plant, constructed a total cost of Rs 300 crore, is the first-of-its-kind and the largest unit in the State.
The plant is capable of processing 5 lakh litre of milk and produce milk powder from 2 lakh litre milk.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the plant will help enhance income of milk farmers of Cuttack district and the State as well.
It may be noted that police arrested many BJP workers before the Chief Minister’s visit to the inauguration site. The BJP protested his visit, demanding ouster and arrest of Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra for his alleged complicity in the Kalahandi lady teacher Mamita Meher killing case.
