Besides, police also rescued 22 labouers from Belapada under Patnagarh area in the district. Here, Dadan Sardar managed to flee from the spot.
Meanwhile, conscious citizens have expressed resentment over trafficking of labouers to outside the State.
“It is not the first time that migrant labourers were rescued from a place in Bolangir district. It has been a regular incident at different places. Since Nua Khai festival, labourers have been rescued from Khaprakhol, Belapada, Patnagarh, Tureikela, Bangomunda, Titilagarh, Deogaon, Tushra, Gudubhela and Agalpur in the district,” said an activist working on the field.
Despite multiple projects being undertaken and MGNREGS projects being hugely funded by the Union Government, illegal trafficking of labourers to outside the State is very disappointing, he lamented further.
