Jharsuguda, Sep 15: In a barbaric incident, a man reportedly killed his mother and wife under the influence of alcohol at Katarbaga village under Rengali police station on the border of Jharsugdua district this evening.
According to information, Kuthuli Thakia and his family members were often quarrelling over family matters. On Thursday evening, they too indulged in a quarrel. Kuthul, who had drunk liquor then, took out a stone and hit them hard on their heads, killing them on the spot.
On being informed by locals, Rengali police rushed to the spot and detained the accused.
