The deceased has been identified as Ashok Sahoo (2) of Shantapur area. The injured persons have been rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital, Kalahandi here. Three of the injured persons are stated to be in critical condition.
According to information, the two motorcycles were running at a very high speed when a heavy vehicle came from the opposite side. The bikers got baffled all of a sudden and hit a truck which was stationary on their side of the road. They all got injured in the mishap. The child died while being taken to the hospital.
On being informed police have reached the spot and started investigations.
