According to information, the police made the preventive arrests at Trishulia Square on Bhubaneswar-Cuttack road at around 10 pm. The activists gathered there to protest the Chief Minister’s visit in view of his silent over alleged involvement of Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra in the Kalahandi lady teacher Mamata Meher murder case.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to attend an OMFED programme at Arilo village under Naraj Bidyadharpur area on the city outskirts here today.
It may be noted that the saffron party protested against the CM’s visit to Kalahandi on November 8. It has decided to protest all upcoming meetings of the Chief Minister until the tainted Minister is not arrested.
