“The survey and study have started for the project. It will be set up by the Solar Energy Corporation of India and only one sq-km area of the reservoir will be required for the project ,” informed Hirakud Dam official.
Water Resources and Energy Departments of the Odisha Government have given permission for the proposed project.
The BRETCO has signed an agreement to purchase electricity from the project.
