According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 541 patients recovered in Khordha district, followed by 526 in Sundargarh, 340 in Nuapada, 238 in Jharsuguda, 199 in Keonjhar, 153 in Sambalpur, 152 in Cuttack, 140 in Bargarh, 128 in Puri, 97 in Nabarangpur, 87 in Bolangir, 84 in Baleswar, 69 in Mayurbhanj, 62 in Rayagada, 59 in Gajapati, 58 in Ganjam, 54 each in Deogarh and Kalahandi, 53 in Bhadrak, 49 in Anugul, 41 in Jajapur, 33 in Nayagarh, 30 in Jagatsinghpur, 24 each in Koraput and Sonepur, 22 in Kendrapara, 15 in Dhenkanal, 10 in Kandhamal and four recovered in Malkangiri.
Besides, 118 recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State witnessed deaths of seven persons due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths rose to 1,988.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose 4,07,457 after 6,116 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of the new cases, 3,546 were detected from among quarantined persons and 2,570 detected as local contacts.
