As per the report, some customers who reached the Chhatrapur SBI ATM today morning to withdraw money found the same damaged. They immediately called up police and informed.
After police reached the spot and carried out an inspection with the help of bank staff, the cash dispenser of the kiosk was found damaged. The CCTV installed inside the unit was also found burnt.
In a similar incident, some customers found the Niala Haat SBI ATM under Aul area looted in the morning and intimated the same to police.
The ATM was found broken open with the help of gas cutters, said police after reaching the spot and carrying out the preliminary investigation.
While the exact amount of cash missing from the looted ATM duo is yet to be ascertained, the SBI officials have informed that over Rs 30 lakh cash had been fed to those on Tuesday.
A manhunt has been launched by police to trace the absconding looters.
