According to information, people have resorted to the shutdown to press for forming a revenue division involving areas Madanpur-Rampur, Narla, Karlamunda etc for good governance. As they have blocked the National Highway 59, traffic movement on the NH has been severely disrupted. Hundreds of vehicles, including passenger buses, have stranded at different places.
Various Government and private offices, petrol pumps, schools and colleges and bazaars and shops have also been closed. Adequate numbers of people personnel have been deployed at different places to avoid any possible untoward incident.
