Baleswar, May 3: In a tragic mishap, a youth died after falling from an electric pole at Shradhapur village under the Bhogarai block in Baleswar district this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Jhampa Marandi, a resident of Shradhapur.
According to the information, Jhampa was doing repair work atop the electric pole when he slipped and fell on the ground. He was rushed to the nearby medical where he was declared dead.
A pall of gloom descended on the village following the incident.
