Youth Arrested For Raping 3-Year-Old Girl In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, July 2: Commissionerate Police on Tuesday arrested a youth for allegedly raping a three-year-old girl yesterday in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The accused has been identified as Santosh Khuntia.

As per reports, Santosh allegedly committed the crime at Panchagam under Airfield police station limits on Monday evening and fled from the spot.

The minor girl was rescued in a critical condition and rushed to the Capital Hospital here. Later, the girl was shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as her condition deteriorated.

The victim's family lodged a complaint with the Airfield police station in the city in this regard following which the accused was arrested. Further investigation was underway in this connection, police said.
