Women, 4-Yr-Old Daughter Severely Injured In Train Accident In Rayagada

Rayagada, Oct 18: In a shocking incident, a woman and her four-year-old daughter were critically injured after falling from a running train in Odisha early on Friday morning. 

According to the information, the incident took place at the Singapur Road JK Railway Station. 

The injured mother and the daughter were first rushed to the Rayagada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) but later shifted to Berhampur MKCG Medical College and Hospital given their critical condition. 

The mother, Ratika Chandana, suffered a fracture on her left leg while two hands and one leg were severed in the accident. Her daughter, Hastini Chandana, had her right hand and leg amputated. 

The mother-daughter duo with husband Chaitanya Chandana had come from Kanijhuri of Titlagarh two days ago to attend the last rites of his relatives at Jinjili Baadi in Rayagada district. 

The accident happened today when they were returning home.
