Woman Sits With Dead Daughter Offering Prayers To Revive Her In Rourkela

Rourkela, Mar 17: Despite being in the Artificial Intelligence era, humans are still under the clutches of superstition. In a seemingly show, a woman is hell bent on conducting religious prayers to bring her five-year-old dead daughter to life in Sonaparbat village under Tangarpali police station limits in Sundargarh district.

It is believed that on praying for 21 days it possible to give life to a dead. Having such a superstitious belief, a woman has been sitting for 18 hours with the body of her daughter who died on Saturday after getting bitten by a snake.

She was rushed to the government hospital in Rourkela but doctors declared her dead. 

Her body was kept in the mortuary. But owing to her blind belief, the woman broke open the door of the mortuary and took away her daughter's body. 

Police tried to convince her to cremate the body, but she is reluctant to part away with the body.
