Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: The winter session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly will begin today.
It is likely to start on a stormy note with the Opposition parties- BJD and Congress- deciding to raise various issues and the ruling party resolving to counter them during the session.
According to the schedule, the OLA will have a long session period this time. It will run till December 31.
On the first day, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who holds the finance portfolio besides others, will present a supplementary budget for the current financial year, 2024-25. The government has many important bills to present and pass in the Assembly during the second session.
