Will Work Giving Highest Priority To People's Welfare and Facilities: Pradhan At Angul

Angul, July 6: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan held a district-level review meeting and led the 'Maa Pain Gachhatie' (A tree for mother) drive in Angul district today. He visited various temples and offered prayers to gods and goddesses at different places during the visit. 

Pradhan offered prayers at Maa Hingula Temple at Talcher and Budhi Thakurani Temple at Angul. Similarly, he conducted puja at Jagannath Temple in Jindal Nagar, Maa Ramchandi Temple at Chhendipada Koshala, Maa Dakeshwari Temple at Brahmabil and Maa Bayani Peetha at Patrapada.  

He attended a Vijay Utsav at Brahmanbila village and thanked villagers for his victory.  

Stating that a pro-people government has been formed in Odisha by the grace of the god, Pradhan asserted that he would always be in the forefront to serve the people of the State. 

He later attended a 'Maa Pain Gachhatie' drive at Dindayal Nagar. He along with his mother Basanta Manjari Pradhan planted trees. 

"On the occasion of the 'World Environment Day', the "A Tree for Mother" campaign has been launched. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon the people to participate in this innovative campaign. To make our environment more clean and beautiful, everyone should plant a tree and take care of it," Pradhan said and stressed creating awareness in this regard. 

Pradhan attended the district-level meeting held at Angul. Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pany and MLAs of Angul, Pallahada and Chendipada and district administrative officers were present. Issues like the construction of roads, drinking water supply, and provision of better education and health service facilities were discussed at length. 

He advised officers to work for people's welfare and facilities on a priority basis.
