Vaishnaw Announces Slew Of Projects For Athagarh; Rupala Distributes Kissan Credit Cards In Ganjam

Puri, Jan 7: Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who is currently on a three-day Odisha visit, on Sunday announced a slew of projects for the Athagarh area in Cuttack district.

Vaishnaw said a railway over-bridge will be constructed at Ghantikhal soon. He said funds have already been sanctioned for the project. Besides, he announced that Ghantikhal and Raj Athagarh railway stations will be renovated soon. 

He graced a football tournament at Panchagaon as the chief guest. He announced Rs 50 lakh for the upgradation of the playground at Panchgaon. 

Earlier in the day, the Minister had visited Baba Dhabaleswar Temple and offered prayers to the Lord. He stressed the development of the Peetha. 

Later in the afternoon, he visited Maa Bhattarika in the Badamba area. He announced Rs 2 lakh for the development of the goddess temple. 

During his visit, he also discussed about Modi guarantee with the people. 

Meanwhile, Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala, who is also on an Odisha visit, attended the 11th edition of the 'Sagar Parikrama' programme at Aryapalli in Ganjam district. He distributed Kissan Creit Cards among fishermen, fish farmers and youth fish entrepreneurs on the occasion. 

Later, he went to Nairi and Balugaon where he talked with fishermen.

It may be noted that Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited Shreemandir in Puri today. He expressed happiness after offering prayers to the deities.
